The Sterling series was conceived and built for players looking for an authentic Musicman tone but with a limited budget.
The build quality and finish are just great and the sound is remarkable close to the original bass.
This is the Sterling by Musicman Stingray Short Scale and it is the first model in this brand that comes with a 30" scale neck. This makes playing this instrument really easy. It's the best choice for those with small hands or simply for those who prefer a smaller instrument. It plays like a dream and it sounds big.
We love the mahogany body and roasted maple neck and palisander fingerboard. Also this new Toluca Lake Blue finish is really cool.
A single humbucker pickup is located at the traditional "sweet spot". You get 3 modes that can be selected via the 3 way switch: Parallel (classic Music Man sound), Series (thicker and hotter, perfect for rock) as well as Single Coil. If that's not enough you also get a Tone Control to get a deeper and more vintage type of sound.
