This AGB 140 is the only bass in the Artcore family by Ibanez. This series recreates the semihollow guitars from yesteryear, but with some modern features to imprive playability and sound.

To start with, the long 34" scale has some obvious advantages:

- Playability: you don't have to adjust your technique, as the neck is the same as most electric basses.

- The E string is punchier and has better definition than in shorter scale basses.

- There are no intonation issues on the first frets (short scale basses tend to be sharp)

Electronics are very well thought out: a passive humbucker located in the sweet spot captures the essence of the semihollow instrument and altering your right hand position produces major changes in tone, as does using the Tone control.

The solid Gibraltar III bridge and tail piece offer plenty of sustain and ease of adjusment (height and intonation).
