This is the top of the line production bass from Fender, made a few years ago.

It belongs in the American Deluxe family, meaning these are the basses where Fender put their 60 year + experience in bassmaking butadding modern features and the best components to come up with the best bass they can make.

QMT comes from "Qamed Maple Top", and in this case you get a very nice piece indeed.

 
The American Deluxe Jazz Bass guitar captures the spirit of Fender innovation with its three-band active EQ, a pair of Samarium™ Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups and 18-volt power supply. It's easy to get a traditional Jazz Bass sound with all the EQ set flat but of course there are other sounds on tap. Add a touch of Bass and Treble boost and you get instant Marcus Miller tone effortlessly. Select the bridge pickup alone and cut the Treble and add a little bit of Midrage and you get a classic Jaco sound. So cool!

This gorgeous ash-body bass has a modern C-shaped, graphite-reinforced maple neck with a contoured heel (for easy access to upper frets), five-bolt neck plate, rosewood rolled-edge fingerboard, abalone block inlays and highly detailed nut and fret work. Other features include chrome hardware, no pickguard, deluxe gold-plated steel bridge plate (string-through-body or top-load) with nickel-plated brass saddles, and Fender/Schaller® Deluxe Lite-Bass tuning machines.

In practice this bass offers the trademark Fender Jazz Bass sound but with added punch and clarity.

We'd like to stress the fact that this particular bass has a really strong Low B string. As you probably know, this is not always the case with Fender 5's so this is really quite unique.

Please note: this is a used bass but it has been really only been used occasionally. There are a few dings here and there but nothing remarkable. We've installed fresh strings and made a pro set up. It plays like a dream
