Zajazz basses are handmade in Madrid, Spain, by luthier Jesús Flores Zaya.
Each instrument is built only using the best materials in terms of woods, hardware and electronics. Each Zajazz bass is unique.
The bass we have here is on the modern side of things and it is really comfortable to play.
The body is made from alder and it sports an amazing Ziricote top.
The neck is made from maple (with dual graphite bars inside and two way truss rod) and the fingerboard is made from a striking piece of Royal Ebony, one of the most special woods we've ever seen. We get luminlay side dots too. Scale is 34" and there are 24 frets so you get the best of both worlds (traditional scale and extended range in the fingerboard).
This bass plays really easy and low action is possible if needed. Of course the low B is loud and focused so no surprises here.
Hardware is all Hipshot USA (both the tuners and the A style bridge with 19mm spacing).
When it comes to electronics no shortcuts here: there's a set of Nordstrand Dual Coil pickups and a Mike Pope Flexcore preamp so the available number of sounds on tap here is massive. The good news is that it's not only versatile but all of the tones are incredibly musical.
Controls are:
Volume/Tone
Balance
Bass
Treble
Sweepable Mids
Active/Passive switch
Single/Series/Parallel switch x2
The combination of great sounds and comfortable playability make this a really good bass that will give you years of joy with no issues.
The ramp is only attached with double side tape. It can be easily removed if you prefer not to use it.
Gigbag included.
Please note: this is a used bass but it's in pristine condition. You save a chunk of money and you can have it shipped today and avoid the long build up time
