Vintage 1980's Yamaha Motion B bass guitar.
This bass is in very nice condition for it's age.
The original finish does show wear, including some dime-sized finish dings in the top. There's some rust on the hardware but everything works just fine.
It's shorter-scale makes it a blast to play. It works great with standard tuning but it will also work great with Piccolo strings and higher tuning.
While most Motion B basses came with a set of humbuckers, this one is quite rare as it sports a PJ arrangement and we love it.
Mods/improvements include:
- Tension bar at the headstock for improved break angle at the nut
- Warwick Just a Nut adjustable bronze nut
- A tremolo bridge was installed years ago and this is incredibly cool! There are only a few basses with tremolo bars out there. So fun to play. And if you install Piccolo strings and tune it one octave higher, it's a perfect guitar-range bass. Even more fun to play.
