Laurus basses are 100% handmade in Italy by master luthier Pierluigi Cazzola.
This is the Quasar T-400 model in 5 string version.
Excellent tonewoods and neck thru construcion are the perfect platform for a great sound. If you've heard a Laurus bass then you know these are really incredible sounding basses. Check out Federico Malaman using a very similar bass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG4pJg12iVw
Ajustable brass nut and Laurus own bridge and headstock retainers for a modern and functional look. The small "headstock" looks just beautiful and it allows you to use any standard guitar stand or even wall mount stand. Cool. No other headless bass offers this.
We love the original design but above all, this is one of the cases where form follows funcion. In other words, every aspect of this bass has been designed with you, the player, in mind.
The neck is quite flat and thin. Really comfortable to play. Perfect access up to the 24th fret.
The result is a bass that plays like a dream and sounds pretty amazing. Passive mode is warm and actually kind of vintage sounding while active mode is more modern and detailed (with the EQ set flat).
The Treble control acts as a Tone control in Passive mode so you get a ton of great sounds. Clear sound and noiseless operation.
We love the Neutrick locking output jack which will prevent the cable from disconnecting even if someone steps on it close to your bass. Cool.
This is a used bass and shows some minor wear but actually it is in very good condition. We recently shipped it to the Laurus shop so Pierluigi could do a full setup and electronics update with an improved circuit. It now plays and sounds the same as a new Laurus bass so here's your chance to save a chunk of money and a long build up time.
