Vintage series is home of some of the most interesting Precision basses outside of the official Fender/Squier catalog. These Precision-inspired four-strings compete in the lower intermediate class of the market (the LTD Vintage models). Vintage-214FL Rosewood kicks off with a solid and double-cut body and bolt-on neck. Entire body is made of alder (introduced in mid-fifties and is still Fender`s favorite body material) while the neck is made of maple (alder/maple is, perhaps, along with mahogany/mahogany, basswood/maple and mahogany/maple, the most common body/neck combination). Rosewood fingerboard used on this one is fully fretless. In the electronics section, ESP has assigned the ESP Designed J pickup in the bridge and P in the middle position. They`re passive, of course. LTD Bridge and tuners wrap the list of major specs.
There are lines on the side of the neck for you to play in tune effortlessly.
We have installed D'Addario Flatwound strings. These are perfect for the sound and won't damage the surface so much as roundwounds.
