This Maruszczyk bass is a good example that sometimes simple things are best. At the same time it proves that you can have a really nice bass for very little money.
The model is called Basement Jake and it is based on the original P Bass from 1951 and in this case we went for a very classic Baby Blue finish with MOP pickguard.
At the same time, we wantes some extra thump so instead of the original Single Coil pickup we chose a Maruszczyk Split Coil pickup and we are glad we did. This is a killer bass. Vintage P Bass sound, that's what you get here.
The classic combination of alder body, maple bolt on neck and rosewood fingerboard is just perfect for a great P Bass.
To sum up: a great looking, playing and sounding European bass that has an incredible price tag too.
