The Warwick Streamer Stage I is one of the best basses to come out of this German factory. This bass in particular is a Custom Shop model, meaning only the absolutely best tonewoods and parts have been used to build it. The finish and set up are top notch too.
It features an AAA maple body and 11 piece maple neck as well neck thru construction, meaning that you get a perfect combination of sutain and attack.
The broadneck design (20mm spacing) makes it particularly comfortable for slapping and groove playing. The neck is really stable and will cope with temperature changes and won't move as much as other basses.
Details such as wooden pegs on the tunes show that extreme care has been taking when choosing the parts for this bass.
We love the new custom MEC electronics that use a rechargable lithium battery (3 hours for a full charge and then 500 hours of use), so you can say goodbye to 9 volt batteries. Of course there's a clip in case you need to use a standard 9 Volt battery in an emergency.
The sound is really deep and clear and we are glad to report that these MEC soapbar pickups are absolutely noise free. You can use any technique and style on this bass and it will always sound great.
This is the bass of choice by Stuart Zender (ex-Jamiroquai) and Óscar Stagnaro (Paquito de Rivera).
