Handmade bass by Canadian luthier George Furlanetto (=F Bass).
This one is actually one of the protoypes that were made when the Alain Caron fretted model was being developed, hence the dual Split pickup arrangement just like on Alain's bass.
This is the 6 string bass that comes closer to the sound of a Jazz Bass that we've ever tried. Impressive. It sounds beautifully vintage in Passive mode. Active mode (Aguilar OBP-3 preamp) brings punch and articulation but without losing that ellusive 70's tone.
All F Bass share standard string spacing at the bridge (18mm) with a narrow nut (54mm in this case). In our opinion this produces one of the most comfortable playing experiences ever as your left hand reaches all the notes easily while your right hand is not restricted at all. Cool!
This is obviously a used bass that shows some wear and tear but everything works perfectly.
