Here's a new model in the Maruszczyk range of basses. It has been named Sputnik and it is the first singlecut design from this European brand.
The set in neck and special design lower horn make it very easy to reach the 24th fret.
As you can see in the pictures, this is also a beautiful bass. It comes with a beautuful buckeye burl top and matching headstock as well as pickup covers and a blank ebony fingerboard with side dots only. Irresistible! It is also a llight weight bass that balances really well and there's no neck diving here thanks to the Hipshot Ultralite tuners.
Two powerful Bassculture humbuckers capture the sound of this bass and you get individial Single Coil/Series/Parallel switches, meaning you get a lot of great sounds. There's a Treble roll off in Passive mode (the first part of the Treble pot takes care of this) plus 3 band EQ in Active mode. As you can see the polepieces in one row are beefier, and these are the ones that are selected in Single Coil mode, the idea behind this being that there's not a big difference in volume from Single to Humbuker operation.
