This is one of our all time favourite Fender basses within the American Vintage Series. It faithfully recreates a Jazz Bass from 1975 down to the smallest detail, except quality control and parts are far better now than they were back then (remember, it was CBS's era).

It is a remarkably lightweight bass thanks to the swamp ash body. White block inlays are used on the maple board. The whole bass is finished in aged lacquer and this makes it irresistible. It realluy looks the same as a bass from the 70's in Ash/Maple that's been out if its case for almost 40 years now. This is no relic finish.

Couple this with vintage Single Coils in the (obviously) 70's position and you get a winner. Some of the best basslines have been created with 70's Jazz Basses, so as soon as you plug this instrument in you get a really familiar deep and articulate tone that will work just in any situation. It sounds great fingerstyle, with a pick and of course slapping.

The narrow nut neck (38mm) and "C" profile make it really easy to play.

If you are looking for THE Jazz Bass and don't want to spend a fortune, look no further. This is it.
