One of the best of being Fender Custom Shop Dealers is that we get access to the best instruments that are built by this brand. We usually go for classic basses that are reissue instruments made in a particularly significant year. In this case, however, we decided we'd like to go for something completely different.
This instrument is a Precision bass that reflects most of the changes that were done by countless players decades ago, such as:
- changing the neck for a Jazz Bass (38mm nut) for comfort
- add a front pickup to add definition and achieve more sounds
- replace the stock bridge for a Badass II unit to improve sustain and reduce dead notes.
And this is the result: a bass that plays like a Jazz Bass, sounds like a Precision bass (plust two extra excellent sounds) and has more sustain than any vintage bass.
