This is a new bass from luthier Imanol Egilegor who is based in Okamika, Vizcaya.

We've been selling Egilegor basses for some time and we are happy to report that these basses are better than ever.

This model is named Kaia and as you can see it is a 6 string bass with 24 frets .The body is made from alder with a really nice walnut crotch top. The neck is a multilaminate made from bubinga and walnut. The fingerboard is a gorgeous piece of Pau Ferro and there are side dot inlays.

The asymmetrical neck makes for a great playing experience.

Regarding electronics, Imanol builds his own pickups in house and the truth is they sound terrific. In this case he built two Big Single units with cool mallory covers. The preamp is a Noll unit with 3 bands: Bass, Treble and sweepable Mids.

The low B works just perfect and the low weight is remarkable for a 6 string bass.
