The Modern Player series is Fender's attempt at producing more affordable instruments as well as different takes on classic instruments. They are made in China, but don't be fooled by that. Parts, construction and quality control are like nothing you've seen before coming from that country. This is a Jazz Bass with two humbuckers, meaning you get a really powerful and slightly darker tone. At this price there's no excuse not to add one to your arsenal.
