8 string version of the Pro Series Star Bass II. You won't find it in the Warwick catalog, so this is a one off. The idea was to combine the unique sound of a Warwick Star Bass II with the power and special sound you only get from an 8 string bass. The special Warwick bridge allows you so set the intonation of EACH string separately, and this is quite unique. In other 8 string basses string pairs share the same saddle, meaning there's always a compromise in intonation, but not here. The bass is based on a 60's Framus Star Bass and has a really deep and warm tone. In this 8 string version you still get that tone, but can take it to other sonic worlds. It really works for rock, pop, and also for ethnic music. A really inspiring instrument!
