As you know, the Soul model is the former "Basic" model, and the new name reflects this is not a basic bass at all. The Soul models includes all the features of most Jerzy Drozd Basses except a more stripped down look (no exotic top) and a really nice price tag. This particular model sports an ultralight swamp ash body (it weighs in at a mere 3,05kg), 34" scale (except of the standard 35"), 38mm nut (instead of the standard 44mm nut). The unlined ebony board has lines on the side and also on the board from "fret" 12th to help you with correct intonation. It is very easy to achieve a convincing Jaco growl with the bridge pickup rolling off the Tone control as well as a wonderful "mwah".
