This is a new bass from luthier Imanol Egilegor who is based in Okamika, Vizcaya.
We've been selling Egilegor basses for some time and we are happy to report that these basses are better than ever.
This model is called Adarbakar model (meaning single cutaway in Basque language). It is a 5 string and has 24 frets. In this case the body is made from korina with a really nice flamed maple top. The neck is a made of maple and the fingerboard is bird's eye maple. There are side dot LED inlays. The fingerboard is completely flat, no radius, so you get a completely different feeling. We love it.
Regarding electronics, Imanol builds his own pickups in house and the truth is they sound terrific. In this case there are two full range soapbar pickups that deliver a perfect blend of depth and clarity.
Electronics are Noll 2 band. Simple and effective.
To sum up: a handmade bass with an incredibly low price tag
