This updated line-up includes active, passive, 4 & string models, as well as some signature models (Michael Anthony and Nathan East).
I admit that these basses have an added emotional bonus for me: I still keep and use my old Yamaha BB350F fretless bass, which turned out to be a real winner.
The BB615 is the active 5 string model in this series.
Controls are: Volume, Balance, 3 band EQ (Bass, Mid & Treble).
The tried and tested PJ pickups become really versatile through the active preamp. You can easily get a deep tone that is great for reggae and rock, but also good definition and crystal highs for modern techniques.
The bass is 34” scale, but the low B is 34,25”, just enough to give that string the right tension to obtain great definition an volume.
