Here's a great USA bass that is also lightweight and affordable, and covers a lot of ground soundwise.
Swamp ash has been chosen for the body which, in combination with the maple neck and fingerboard, packs a lot of punch and attack like a good 70's bass.
The hipshot bridge allows you to string through the body (maximum sustain) or at the bridge (more attack).
The now "classic" combination of a Single coil and a Humbucker at the bridge is one of the most versatile pickup arrangements ever. You get a perfect Jazz sound, but also a dead on Musicman plus some other useful tones. The 3 band preamp adds even more possibilities. You simply cannot go wrong with this bass.
