This bass is constructed with German precision, but at the same time has a really organic feel thanks to the oiled finish on the flamed maple body, ovangkol neck and wenge fingerboard. The two active MEC single coils put out a crystal clear sound even with no EQ. The. 2 band MEC EQ is really musical. The lows really fill the room, and the 2Khz centered treble acts like a presence control (rolling it off is like a passive tone control, and boosting it brings old strings to life)
