The bass you see here belongs in the Vintage Modified Series, and it is the Precision TB model. As you can see, it is based on the original Fender Precison from 1951 (small headstock, big pickguard, etc.), but the TB letters at the end of the name are telling you it is actually a Telecaster Bass. The Telecaster bass was produced by Fender between 1967 until late 70's, but with 2 different versions: during the first few years it came with a non split single coil pickup, just like the '51 bass, but from 1973 Fender changed to a monster humbucker placed next to the neck. The result was a bass with a true deep and ultra low voice that filled with ease studios, rooms and arenas. This bass recreates that classic model from the early '70's.

Don't expect a versatile and refined bass here. Instead, you get a powerful sound that makes this bass an authorative rock voice. If you use a standard Precision bass after this one, the P Bass will sound thin and sterile. You can play it fingerstyle, but we highly recommend using a pick and play it through an overdriven tube amp...rock heaven. Careful: it is totally addictive.
