Peavey Cirrus Walnut 5

Peavey make some of the best value basses and amps in the world for beginners, that’s a fact. But they also make top quality basses. The Cirrus line offers 4, 5 and 6 string models in different woods arrangements.
The neck through design is built from maple and walnut, and walnut is used for the body wings too. Acoustically this produces a sound that is alive, crisp and clear with good bottom too.
Plugged in, the two arched Peavey VFL (vertical flux load) pickups effectively capture all the details from the strings, and are really touch sentitive. Without changing anything on the onboard 3 band EQ, you can go from a round, soft voice, to a percussive tone that has the right kinds of mids and highs to make you smile.

If you are looking for an all round bass that covers many styles with authority and is amazingly comfortable and easy to play, you have to check this bass out. By the way, it is easy to dial a Wootenesque tone with this bass, regardless the differences from Victor’s Fodera.
String spacing at the ABM bridge is medium, so again you can use this bass for any technique you can think of, like slapping or chord work.

Note: this is an ex-demo model. There are some scratches & dents here and there, but nothing serious. The body has a mark from resting the fingers, but the natural oil finish means you can easily sand it down, apply some bee’s wax and voilá, new bass.Peavey Cirrus Walnut 5
