Handmade bass by Spanish luthier Jaume Catalá Redondo (JCR). This instrument follows the Super Jazz Bass Concept and manages to get the feeling and tone of a good old 4 string Jazz Bass but in a modern 24 fret/5 string version. Great!  Top notch hardware and electronics match this instrument's woods and workmanship. The bridge allows for 16,5-18mm spacin. The traditional 34" scale ensures comfortable playing and familiar feeling, and the low B is loud, clear and feels like it belongs in this bass (you know what we mean).  The Fralin/Aguilar combo is a winner. In passive you get an old school J Bass tone, and in active you get extra punch and definition, while retaining the bass' original character. You'll be seeing more JCR basses at Doctorbass soon!
